Levanger Municipality is one of four Norwegian Municipalities that are announcing a contest in Norway. A presentation of the four municipalities and all the contest assignments is on www.europan.no. Levanger Municipality: The wooden town Levanger. Levanger's unique town development history with the well-preserved town plan from 1846 and the wooden buildings from the period 1896-1904 has been granted national status through listing. Levanger Municipality would like to sue Europan 16 to find out how the cultural environment and the unique historical surroundings can be an engine and resource for the future town. The aim is to ensure uniform and strategic measures that keep the location's historical identity and, at the same time, open up for an exciting way to achieve sustainable and attractive town centre.
