Two national networks for universities and university colleges have been established as part of the government's commitment to local work with competence development, which cooperate with nurseries and schools. Vestlandet University College has been the coordinator for both, one network for universities and university colleges for nurseries, and one for schools, including thematics for the competence lift in both networks. The contract period for the school network (decentralised scheme) expires in 2021. The contract period for the nursery network (regional scheme) expires in September 2022.

II.2.4)Description of the procurement:

The Norwegian Directorate of Education and Training would like to continue its support for regional cooperation between universities and university colleges, and is, thus, announcing three assignments in three different regions. Each assignment consists of two main assignments:

- Initiate and coordinate cooperation on strengthening the university college institutions' partnership role in the work on local competence development in the region.

- Coordinate cooperation on post and further education in the region. The aim of main assignment 1 is to facilitate professional cooperation and sharing experience between universities and university colleges in the region on local competence development, with an emphasis on the partnership role. The assignment for the coordinator consists of facilitating cooperation and being an initiator for professional development in the region.

The contracting authority would like to agree on an option for an extension of the assignment for one year until 2025.

The aim of the option is to ensure that relevant work in the three university college regions can continue within the framework of this notice.

We estimate that the value of the option will be NOK 2.5 million per contract with each of the three university college regions, total NOK 7.5 million.

The contracting authority will decide whether to take up the option by 31.12.2023.
