Explanation:

The emergency department needs a microscope that will be used in all brain tumour surgeries. There is a need for a microscope that can be used for navigation, with the use of intraoperative fluourescence and with dynamic focus.

Instrument requirements

The microscope must have dynamic focus.

• must have occular for assistant;

• must be able to be used with neuronavigation that exists at IVS;

• must be able to be used with fluorescein, 5-ALA and ICG microscopes);

• must have advocate services;

• must be reliable.
