Measurement Canada is transitioning towards a new strategic direction focused on four pillars: responsiveness, effectiveness, visibility and capacity. This represents a significant culture and operating model change for our workforce, who are being asked to work differently and operate more efficiently.

To successfully implement MC’s vision and strategic direction across the organization, it is necessary to build our capacity and continue to develop new tools and strategies to improve our learning program and competency framework. This means reinforcing what we do best and developing a new set of tools to build skills to demonstrate what it means to be a “world-class regulator and innovation enabler” for MC staff at all levels: Managers, Technical Inspectors, Analysts, Agents, Administrative Supports, etc.

Provisions of services from a Learning Designer to support MC in developing strategies and updating learning products using the Systems Approach to Training (SAT) and andragogic based methodologies to help MC meet its current and future capability needs.
