Description
The United Nations is seeking Expression of Interest from fully qualified suppliers for an upcoming solicitation for the global provision of Combat Rations Packs (CRPs) as well as Group CRPs (10-50 Man) in support of approximately 100,000 military personnel and 15,000 civilian personnel in all the United Nations peacekeeping missions worldwide. CRPs are composed of two full meals, plus breakfast, and a snack that can sustain one person for a 24 hour period and are suitable for military use under difficult, variable, field and weather conditions. Ration packs are pre-packaged and include a number of different menus that reflect various tastes and cultures. The contractor is required to provide Occidental, Halal, Hindu, and Vegetarian types of ration packs. The successful vendor will be required to provide all of the options listed above, if requested by the UN. Additional services may be required in the solicitation documents. In order for the vendors to be considered during the formal solicitation of proposals, the requirements listed under "Specific Requirements" have to be met. Formal solicitation will require the submission of bid securities. NOTE: Full and comprehensive details of the UN’s requirement will be provided at the time of formal solicitation of proposals. This would include the UN’s requirements in terms of food specifications, food varieties, food packaging, shelf life requirements, delivery locations, and relevant standards. To the extent possible, it will also include the relevant terms of the contract that will govern the performance of the successful contractor.
