1. ABOUT THE CALL
The NRM is soliciting proposals from interested implementing agencies in Rakhine State and southern Chin State. The total envelope of available funding is USD 3 million split into two lots: ● Lot 1: Support for Strengthening Civil Society in Rakhine State. The NRM is seeking proposals for projects that strengthen the capacity of local organizations to respond to humanitarian, development and peacebuilding needs and which contribute to the development of a more inclusive and robust civil society. The total envelope for Lot 1 is USD 1,200,000. ● Lot 2: Participatory Nexus Response. The NRM is seeking proposals for participatory projects that will implement programming across the humanitarian-development-peace nexus, particularly in one or more of NRM’s priority areas including emergency and COVID-19 response, livelihoods, education, humanitarian mine action, and social cohesion. The total envelope for Lot 2 is USD 1,800,000. Proposals may be for projects between 12 and 24 months in length. The geographic scope for the two lots includes Rakhine State and southern Chin State. Further information about the lots will be provided to organizations that register at the form listed below.
2. REGISTRATION CRITERIA
Organizations must register their interest by 3 August 2021 in order to be able to apply for the call and serve as the lead implementing partner. Organizations that serve as partners to lead organizations are not required to register. INGOs, NGOs and CSOs are eligible to apply.

The NRM will use the following criteria to determine eligibility: nexusresponsemechanism.org 2 of 2 ● Experience in Rakhine State and/or southern Chin State. Organizations must possess at least two years of experience directly (as a lead implementing partner on a grant) or indirectly (as a sub-partner on a grant) supporting development, peacebuilding or humanitarian programming in central or northern Rakhine State and/or southern Chin State. The NRM invites registrations from both national and international organizations
