Description

The proposed work of developing a training manual builds upon the earlier support provided by UNDP to NISR to develop Rwanda multi-dimensional poverty analysis reports. Several NISR staff were already trained in multi-dimensional poverty analysis as a part of this program and are ready to train other members of NISR. Through this collaboration, UNDP is supporting the NISR to broaden its capacities in understanding Human Development beyond multidimensional poverty metrics by developing training manuals to be used by NISR staff at the NISR training center. The manual will be used to train a number of NISR staff, other staffs from government ministries and departments as well as non-government policy staffs.

The manuals will also be shared with Academic Institutions (public or private) through mutual consent between NISR and UNDP to be used in the design of tailored Programmes in applied economics courses. This will help build a critical mass of personnel in the country with the comprehensive knowledge and skills on human development.
