  Invitation for Bids Date: 10 May 2021 Loan Nos. and Title: L3610-SRI: Integrated Road Investment Program – Tranche 4 Contract Nos. and Title: ●     RDA/ADB/iROAD/NCB/RMC/07-A: Rehabilitation, Improvement and Maintenance of Kandy- Jaffna Road (A009) (58+000 km to 67+000 km)   ●     RDA/ADB/iROAD/NCB/RMC/07-B: Rehabilitation, Improvement and Maintenance of Kandy- Jaffna Road (A009) (67+000 km to 72+710 km) Deadline for Submission of Bids: 16 June 2021, 11:00 hours (Sri Lankan Time) 1.    The Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka has received financing from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Integrated Road Investment Program. Part of this financing will be used for payments under the contracts named above. Bidding is opened to bidders from eligible source countries of the ADB.  2.    The Road Development Authority (“the Employer”) invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the above contract packages. Scope of the works includes:  2-a.  Rehabilitation and Improvement activities (the Works) will include but not limited to the following:  ●     Site Clearing and Excavation ●     Road formation improvement / road widening ●     Subbase construction, Dense Graded Aggregate Base complete with Asphalt Concrete overlay ●     Drainage construction / improvements ●     Culvert rehabilitation/extension and construction ●     Relocation of utilities ●     Provision of Facilities for the Engineer/Employer.  2-b. Performance Based Road Maintenance Works shall mainly consist of maintenance activities necessary for keeping the Roads in compliance with specified Performance or Service Levels after completion of Works.          (All activities shall be carried out complying with the environmental and social framework as specified in the relevant sections in the bidding documents)   Bidders may bid for one (1) or several contract packages. A bidder shall be awarded only one (1) contract even if the bidder submits several successful (lowest evaluated substantially responsive) bids.
