IDB 1381- 10/16 of October 6, 2016. 2.         The Ministry of Education, Science and Culture has received financing from the Inter-American Development Bank toward the cost of Second Basic Education Improvement Program (BEIP 2 nd), and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this financing to payments under the Contract for The Rehabilitation of Seven (7) Schools in the Interior of Suriname. 3.         The Ministry of Education, Science and Culture now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for The Rehabilitation of Seven (7) Schools in the Interior of Suriname as specified in the bidding documents. The construction period is six (6) months. 4.         The RFB will be conducted through National Competitive Bidding procedures specified in the Inter-American Development Bank’s Policies for the Procurement of Goods and Works financed by the Inter-American Development Bank GN-2349-15 approved by the Board of Executive Directors of the Bank on 2 nd of July 2019 and effective 1 st of January 2020 and is open to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the bidding document. 4 5.         Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents from the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture – 2 nd BEIP at the address stated at the end of the document; during office hours 7.30h to 15.30h. A complete set of bidding documents in English may be obtained by interested bidders on the submission of a written application via e-mail. The documents will be sent via e-mail or can be picked up at the address indicated below. 6.         Qualifications requirements include at a minimum: Total monetary value of construction works performed for each of the last five (5) years; Experience in works of a similar nature and size for each of the last five (5) years, and details of work under way or contractually committed; and clients who may be contacted for further information on those contracts; Reports on the financial standing of the Bidder, such as profit and loss statements and auditor’s reports for the past five (5) years; Evidence of adequacy of working capital for this Contract (access to line(s) of credit and availability of other financial resources); A full list of the qualification criteria is listed at ITB 5 of the bidding documents. A margin of preference for national contractors/JVCAs shall not be applied. The bids will be electronically opened at 14.30 hrs. on December 10, 2021, in the presence of bidders’ representatives, who choose to attend through a zoom meeting for which the link will be sent on the Bid submission date.
