1. The United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP) intends to conduct a competitive solicitation exercise for the rental of right-hand self-drive vehicles on an "as and when required'' basis. 2. The resulting Contract shall be for an initial period of three (3) years with an option to extend for two (2) additional terms of one (1) year each. The Contract is anticipated to commence on 01 June 2022. 3. The resultant Contract shall cover the rental of various types of vehicles, all in white colour, approximately 32 vehicles, as detailed below. The Contract shall have a provision to reduce or increase the number of rental vehicles by giving a written notice to the Contractor. UNFICYP may occasionally rent additional vehicles on a daily or on short-term basis, above and beyond the listed quantities. Type of Vehicles: • Full size, four-door sedan, gasoline or diesel engine, between 2.2 and 3.0 liter capacity or fitted with an engine with equivalent or better output respectively – Quantity 3; • Medium size, four-door sedan, gasoline or diesel engine, between 1.8 and 2.0 liter capacity or fitted with an engine with equivalent or better output respectively – Quantity 4; • Light size, four-door sedan, gasoline or diesel engine, between 1.2 and 1.6 liter capacity or fitted with an engine with equivalent or better output respectively – Quantity 4; • Mini-Bus, 15-18 passenger seat capacity, gasoline or diesel engine, between 1.8 and 2.5 liter capacity– Quantity 1; • Panel Van, diesel engine, between 1.8 and 2.5 liter capacity– Quantity 3; • 4x4 Double Cabin Pick-Up, gasoline or diesel engine, between 1.8 and 2.8 liter capacity– Quantity 6; • 4x4 Refrigeration Van, 1 to 1.5 ton cargo capacity, gasoline or diesel engine, between 1.8 and 2.8 liter capacity– Quantity 2; • 4x4 Refrigeration Van, 1.6 to 2.5 ton cargo capacity, gasoline or diesel engine, between 2.0 and 2.8 liter capacity– Quantity 2; • 2x4 Refrigeration Van, 1.6 to 2.5 ton cargo capacity, gasoline or diesel engine, between 2.0 and 2.8 liter capacity– Quantity 2; • Bus, Medium size, with 22 to 30 passenger seat capacity, gasoline or diesel engine, between 3.0 and 5.0 liter capacity– Quantity 5. 4. UNFICYP reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to award one or multiple contracts for the requested type of vehicles. Proposers will have the option to submit a Proposal for all or some type of vehicles e.g., only for sedans or only for specialized vehicles etc. 5. The Contractor shall be in possession of a valid operator’s license for the rental of vehicles, shall be capable of providing equivalent replacement vehicles during the repair/accident repair/ maintenance period or if the vehicles are defective, and shall provide servicing to the vehicles using a suitable service/repair facility in Cyprus. The Contractor shall be able to provide insurance coverage for all vehicles. 6. In this regard, UNFICYP would like to identify vendors that would be interested to participate in the competitive solicitation exercise. Qualified vendors are requested to express their interest by submitting the Vendor Response Form of this EOI electronically (through the link provided below) before the closing date above. 7. UNFICYP reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding and mere expressing an interest would not automatically warrant participation in the competitive bidding exercise. UNFICYP reserves the right to change or cancel any of these requirements at any time during the EOI and/or the solicitation process. Please note that Vendors have to be registered at Level 2 at the time of the award. 9. The UNGM registration is mandatory for responding to this EOI.
