The College is seeking Contractor(s) to tender for the replacement of its IP telephony system and related infrastructure at Galashiels (including central equipment, handsets and PSTN gateways)

Total quantity or scope of tender

The data network shall provide the foundation for the voice solution to communicate between end points, as such an IP Telephony and Unified Communications solution shall be provided. The proposed solution must detail the architecture of the systems being proposed.

Explain how the licensing model for the proposed solution will be developed, clearly indicating what elements /functions/ features are included with the base system and where additional licenses are required for different features of the overall solution being proposed. The system must be licensed/sized for the purposes of this proposal as follows:

Basic Handsets – 320 (Must be included)

Softphones -50

Analogue Devices -10

Suitability to pursue the professional activity, including requirements relating to enrolment on professional or trade registers:

Given the specification witin this ITT the chosen manufacturer’s solution is likely to have a strong presence and be an innovator and leader within the individual market and be capable of offering tried and tested solutions. Again given the specific nature of the education IT market those bidders who already have a strong understanding of the sector’s needs will be well placed to submit good quality bids.
