  • PLUMWOOD PUMPING STATION PHOTOVOLTAIC (PV) SOLAR SYSTEM INSTALLATION

Loan No. 9017-JM

The Government of Jamaica has received a loan from the World Bank towards the cost of the SECOND rural economic development intitiative (REDI II) project.  The Jamaica Social Investment Fund (JSIF) intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to cover payments under the following contracts:

 

St. Mary Multi-Purpose Co-operative Infrastructure Upgrade & Equipping (#73666).

Scope:                                                 The contractor will be tasked with the supply of an off-grid Photovoltaic (PV) System aimed at off-setting the operating cost of reefer containers.  Remedial works on existing reefer containers is needed including the construction of a battery and inverter room to house components of the PV System. Remedial works are needed for the whole facility.

 

Plumwood Pumping Station PV Solar System Installation (#73693)

Scope:                                                 The contractor will be tasked with the supply, installation and commissioning of a grid-tied 56.5-kilowatt solar photovoltaic system to serve the Plumwood Pumping Station in New Forest, Manchester. The project will require the fabrication and installation of an earth-mounted structural framing and support system as well as the construction of an enclosure to project sensitive system components.
