Description

UNICEF seeks proposals from qualified institutional/corporate entities to establish Long Term Arrangements for Services (LTAS) with suitably qualified and experienced consultancy firms for the provision of ADVISORY SERVICES FOR SUPPORTING UNICEF NATIONAL COMMITTEES’ DOMESTIC PROGRAMMING THROUGH CHILD RIGHTS EDUCATION.

UNICEF is the agency of the United Nations mandated to advocate for the protection of children’s rights. Guided by the Convention on the Rights of the Child, UNICEF strives to establish children’s rights as international standards of behavior towards children. The National Committees for UNICEF are established as independent local non-governmental organizations in 33 High-Income countries. They serve as the public face and dedicated voice of UNICEF in these countries. Child Rights Education is identified as a priority in the Cooperation Agreement with the National Committees and UNICEF’s Child Rights Programming and Advocacy Team in the Division of Private Fundraising and Partnerships (PFP) is responsible for ensuring that they receive the support needed.

The assignment is required in order to provide UNICEF National Committees with technical support for effective results-based programming in this particular field in close collaboration with other relevant divisions and offices in UNICEF.

Organizations with strong expertise in the area of child rights, child rights education, advocacy and child participation/youth engagement are encouraged to submit proposals.
