| Short description Site Enabling Works at Aras an Chontae, Leitrim County Council, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim Detailed description The scope of work requires the Contractor to; Form hard standing area, c. 700 sq.m, to function as temporary staff car park during construction of the extension to Aras an Chontae complete with temporary lighting Disconnect, decommission or divert underground services as per Services Engineers documentation. These include powerlines, oil line, telecoms & broadband, watermain, foul and surface water drains. Clean out and demolish Machinery Workshop, Note corrugated roof covering comprises asbestos containing material Take down Gate Lodge lean-to extension while temporarily retaining and protecting the electrical switchboard and meters Construct new Switch Room as detailed on Drawing E-06 Break out and remove areas of concrete hard standing, ramps, tank bunds and supports, steel and timber palisade fencing and dispose of debris and excavated material Relocate 6 no. steel containers, including contents, to off-site locations as specified. Remove and dispose of 5 small no. pre-fabricated structures Clean out and demolish large (yellow) pre-fabricated structure including access ramp and steps.(Structure No.2 on Drawing No. E-04) Relocate or dispose of plant and materials as per attached Inventory, including redundant boilers below The Dock Arts Centre which have friable asbestos lagging. Form support structure and provide new oil tank as detailed on Drawing E-07 and connect to the Aras networks. Relocate generator and fuel tank to temporary location and reconnect to the Aras networks. Excavate trial pits/slit trenches to Project Civil & Structural Engineer’s specification. Facilitate monitoring of groundworks by the Project Archaeologist Install new electrical plant and services as per Services Engineers documentation and facilitate changeover by ESB Networks. Install new watermain and 2 no. proposed fire hydrants as per Civil Engineers documentation Form access chamber in existing boiler room to accommodate new service routes.
