Description

BACKGROUND

Local and imported cases of COVID-19 continue to be reported by the Ministry of Health (MOH) in Malaysia. The World Health Organization (WHO) Representative Office to Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam and Singapore provides technical support to the Government’s whole-of-society approach in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic. Risk communication and community engagement is integral in the response as we face continuing and new challenges in 2021 including the rollout of COVID-19 vaccines and pandemic fatigue. Social listening is important to understand the key concerns, misinformation, disinformation, rumours and sentiments related to issues on COVID-19 in Malaysia.
