Tender Details

Wild dogs are a significant issue across much of Australia, impacting livestock and native fauna and restricting production options across many areas, particularly the rangelands.

This procurement covers the manufacture, supply and delivery of materials to nominated warehouse locations (or possible alternative if accepted), necessary to erect an exclusion fence for Wild Dogs. Locations of warehouse facilities may include Broken Hill, Bourke, Walgett, Mungindi and other suitable locations.

The Dog Fence protects far western areas of the state from wild dogs and currently runs for approximately 583km across the NSW/SA and NSW/QLD border. This fence is part of a national fence which extends into SA and QLD. The NSW Government has committed to extending the existing Dog Fence for a further 742km and has provided funding for the Wild Dog Fence Extension (WDFE) project. The Soil Conservation Service (SCS) is the project owner and is responsible for fence construction works.
