The United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON) invites qualified interested firms to submit Expressions of Interest (EOI) to participate in the upcoming tender exercise for the supply of inkjet-paper suitable for use with polymer pigment water-based ink used on Canon/Oce VarioPrint inkjet printers. Since 1996, the United Nations Offices at Nairobi (UNON) has been providing an array of Administrative and technical support services including printing and publishing to its UN clients. UNON Publishing Services Section (PSS), an In-plant printing and publications production section has acquired an industrial level inkjet printing machine that requires the use of specific paper to produce printed materials of the highest quality. This requirement is for FSC/PEFC certified paper that can be utilised by Canon/Oce IX Varioprint devices, to be supplied in bulk packed sheets at the SRA3++ (325x480mm) sizes boxed or on wooden pallets plastic shrink-wrapped, with metal or plastic banding, with labelling to indicate the number of sheets, the size, pallet weight, name and country origin of the paper manufacturer, and production batch code verification numbers to allow for internet tracing of paper under FSC/PEFC regulations. The contract is anticipated to be awarded for an initial period of three (3) years with the option to extend for an additional two years.
