Description
1. The United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP) intends to conduct a competitive solicitation exercise for the supply, repair and installation services for UNFICYP CCTV infrastructure, including the provision of spare parts and related equipment, on an "as and when required'' basis. 2. The resulting contract shall be for an initial period of three (3) years with an option to extend for two (2) additional terms of one (1) year each. The Contract is anticipated to commence within the first quarter of 2022. 3. UNFICYP's existing island wide CCTV infrastructure consists of multiple CCTV systems, including cameras, interconnected by microwave links, providing perimeter security and monitoring to the Mission's Headquarters. The main elements of the required services are detailed below: - vertification and testing of existing CCTV infrastructure; - installation of CCTV cameras and associated fixtures, such as termination boxes, brackets and fittings; - terminating CCTV cabling; - installation, replacement and repair or removal of CCTV cable (copper, coaxial or fibre optic); - installation of infrastructure equipment, including pole erection, trenching, trucking, wall fittings and labelling; - preventative maintenance; - installation of wireless connectivity and power equipment; and, - provision of system familiarization training for system operators. 4. Interested vendors shall have five (5) years' prior experience with similar projects and technical personnel shall be trained and certified on working at heights. Interested vendors shall have the opportunity to attend a site visit, as part of the solicitation exercise. 5. In this regard, UNFICYP would like to identify vendors that would be interested to participate in the competitive solicitation exercise. Qualified vendors are requested to express their interest by submitting the Vendor Response Form of this EOI electronically (through the link provided below) before the closing date above. 6. In case you have difficulties submitting your interest electronically, please contact Ms. Stacey Worthington via email to [email protected] no later than Tuesday, 28 September 2021. The Vendor Response Form is also available in our website www.unficyp.org. 7. UNFICYP reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding and mere expressing an interest would not automatically warrant participation in the competitive bidding exercise. UNFICYP reserves the right to change or cancel any of these requirements at any time during the EOI and/or the solicitation process. Please note that Vendors have to be registered at Level 2 at the time of the award. 8. The UNGM registration is mandatory for responding to this EOI. Interested vendors are strongly recommended to submit the required documentation at the United Nations Global Marketplace at www.ungm.org for Level 01 registration. Information on the prerequisites for Level 01 registration can be found at https://www.ungm.org/Public/Pages/RegistrationProcess.
