    FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA Federal Ministry of Water Resources Request for Expression of Interest (Consulting Services – Firms Selection)   Country: Federal Republic of Nigeria Project: Programme for Integrated Development and Adaptation to Climate Change in the Niger Basin (PIDACC/NB) Sector: Environment Loan Grant No: 2100150040844 Program ID: P-Z1-C00/069   This request for expression of interest follows the General Procurement Notice for this programme that appeared in African Development Bank Group Internet Website (www.afdb.org) on 21 st May, 2019.   The Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) has received financing from the African Development Bank (the Bank), towards the cost of Programme for Integrated Development and Adaptation to Climate Change in the Niger Basin (PIDACC/NB) in Nigeria and intends to apply part of the agreed amount to finance payment under the contract for the technical feasibility study, detailed design and work supervision of measures for protection of resources and ecosystems.   The services included under this project are technical feasibility study, detailed design and preparation of bidding documents and supervision of works. The assignment is in support of various construction/rehabilitation contract packages involving the following facilities, to be carried out in the four (4) River Basin Development Authorities namely: Upper Benue, Upper Niger, Sokoto/Rima and Anambra – Imo River: (a)  river navigation improvement; gully stabilization using engineering and biological structures; and dikes for flood protection all under Open Competitive Bidding (OCB) at national level:; and (b) soil and water conservation engineering structures for land protection and reclamation under Community procurement procedures.   The Executing Agency, F ederal M inistry of Water R esources (FMWR) through its National Programme Coordinating Unit (NPCU) now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interests in providing these services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (firm brochure, description of similar assignments, experience in similar condition, availability of appropriate skills among staff etc.).   Consultants may constitute joint ventures to enhance their chances of qualification.   The estimated duration of the assignment is eighteen (18) months and the estimated starting date is 16 th June, 2022. Eligibility Criteria, establishment of the shortlist and selection procedure shall be in accordance with the procurement policy for the bank Group funded operation (Policy), October 2015, which is available on the Banks website at http://www.afdb.org.en/projects-andoperations/procurements/new-proedure-policy.
