The Contract 1A - "Extension of existing metro line by 3.47 km and construction of 2 metro stations" envisages the extension of existing Oleksiivska (Green) metro Line of the Kharkivsky Metropoliten by 3.47 km in the densely built-up areas of residential and commercial buildings and structures, including design, construction, testing and commissioning of the new section of the metro line with 2 underground stations and remedying defects during the Defects Notification Period.

The contract will be implemented under the FIDIC conditions of contract for plant and design-build, First Edition 1999 (Yellow Book)

II.2.4)Description of the procurement:

This procurement is Two Stage Open Tender which is subject to the EBRD's Procurement Policies and Rules and it is open for participation from any country unless otherwise specified in the procurement documents.

The procurement is carried out via the EBRD Client E-Procurement Portal (ECEPP). If you intend to participate in any procurement, please ensure that you have registered in ECEPP (https://ecepp.ebrd.com). All communication with the Communal Enterprise «Kharkivsky Metropoliten» in respect of the tender process including requests for clarifications and responses shall be sent and received only using the relevant ECEPP message Centre.

The resulting contract will be financed out of the proceeds of loans from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the EBRD, the Bank) and the European Investment Bank (the EIB).

The Contract 1A - "Extension of existing metro line by 3.47 km and construction of 2 metro stations" envisages the extension of existing Oleksiivska (Green) metro Line of the Kharkivsky Metropoliten by 3.47 km in the densely built-up areas of residential and commercial buildings and structures, including design, construction, testing and commissioning of the new section of the metro line with 2 underground stations and remedying defects during the Defects Notification Period.

The extension starts at the already existing part of the route south of the station Metrobudivnykiv and leads south to the planned stations Derzhavinska and Odeska. The alignment crosses the Gagarina Avenue at a very acute angle. From there, the alignment remains on the western side of Gagarina Avenue, underpasses the railway line and continues in a straight alignment to the Odeska station. South of the Odeska station, a four-rail dead end with associated switches is located.

The metro expansion comprises a diverse range of design and construction works, as well as the supply and installation of track and other equipment of the new metro line section.

The contract will be implemented under the FIDIC conditions of contract for plant and design-build, First Edition 1999 (Yellow Book).
