The purpose of this project is to assist Ukrainian media in their coverage of EU-related topics as well as to increase their capacities and access to such information. This information should be practical and understandable, focused on:
a) explaining the recent developments in the EU–Ukraine relations, including the provisional application of the Association Agreement, and its practical impact on the daily life of Ukrainian citizens, especially as seen and experienced from the local/regional perspective;
b) the EU's assistance to implement economic, sectoral and rule of law reforms in Ukraine.
At the same time, the EU Delegation needs to know how media reports on EU-related subjects. Therefore, another purpose of this project is to provide, on a regular basis, the feedback from Ukrainian media (print, broadcast, news agencies, online) on the EU integration coverage and the state of play of the EU–Ukraine relationship. The expected result is better future EU information and communication strategy in the regions and adjustment of public diplomacy instruments to the local needs.
The EU Delegation will provide the potential contractor with the necessary background information, basic facts and figures (e.g. on the available EU assistance projects and assistance budget), which should be used as raw data for further analysis and presentations.
