- The Ministry of Mines and Minerals Development has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Civil and Engineering Works for Rehabilitation and closure of TD 10 and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Civil and Engineering Works for Rehabilitation and closure of TD 10
- The Ministry of Mines and Mineral Development now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the Civil and Engineering works for Rehabilitation and closure of Tailings Dam Ten (TD 10). Under this contract, the bidder will be required to ensure that TD10 is physically stable, seepage control and protection of the environment from runoff erosion.
- Bidding will be conducted through competitive procurement method using Request for Bids (RFB) International Competitive Bidding (ICB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers- Procurement in Investment Projects Financing” Dated July2016, Revised November 2017 and August 2018 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
- Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from the Ministry of Mines and Minerals Development – Zambia Mining and Environmental Remediation and Improvement Project office (Mine safety Department) email address [email protected] and [email protected] .Bidders may inspect the bidding document during office hours. 08:30 to 16:30 hours at the address given below.
- The Bidding document in English may be purchased by interested Bidders upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of Zambian Kwacha k 500.00 The method of payment will be cash or Bank certified cheque to The Ministry of Mines and Minerals Development Accounts. Please ensure an official receipt is collected as proof of payment.
- Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 11th May 2022. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below Zambia Mining and Environmental Remediation and Improvement Project office, on 11th May, 2022 at 10:30 Hours
- All Bids must be accompanied by Bid Security of 2% of the bid price
- Mandatory site visit shall be conducted on Friday 13th April, 2022 bidders will meet at Mufulira Municipal Council at 10:00 hours.
- All Bids must be accompanied by a Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA) and/or Sexual Harassment (SH) Declaration.
