| Short description RFT 29.2017 - Chassis wash Lift Detailed description Dublin Bus is looking to purchase 1 new Chassis Wash Lift for the purpose of cleaning the chassis of the fleet. (size 7m,8m,9m long) The new chassis wash lift is to be fitted adjacent to the new garage on the Broadstone site. Existing buildings on the site are being renovated and refurbished to accommodate the new garage with a separate refurbished adjacent structure to house the new chassis wash. Dublin Bus will be tendering for a Main Contractor in early-2018 for the refurbishment project, with appointment due in summer 2018. That Main Contractor will be installing the required civil works to accommodate the chassis wash lift equipment. The successful tenderer for this equipment will be a named specialist supplier novated into the Main Contract. The successful tenderers’ price for this piece of equipment will be inserted into the Main Contract pricing document. The supplier of the equipment will enter into a contract with the Main Construction Contractor, yet to be appointed. The Main Contractor will be placing the order for the equipment through their contract, based on their programme and advised equipment lead time. The supplier of the chassis wash lift equipment will be paid through the Main Contract, with Dublin Bus as the overall project client. The tenderer for this equipment will be expected to return a price that can be held for 24 months from date of tender return, as garage completion is scheduled for October 2019. The successful tenderer must account for the supply, install, and commissioning of the equipment along with training of Dublin Bus personnel. The successful tenderer must be able to provide full details and drawings of any civil works requirements, when requested, for inclusion into the Main Contract. Dublin Bus may opt to engage in a maintenance contract for the warranty period of the equipment. This would be based on the prices submitted in the Life Cycle Costing section of this tender.
