SJ AB (Sweden) joins the TransQ Qualification System. Other leading Scandinavian transport and postal utilities covering postal services, railway infrastructure as well as transportation activities already use the TransQ Qualification System. (See Section VI ‘Additional Information’ for complete list of participating utilities). TransQ is run and managed on behalf of the subscribing companies by Achillevs Information AB.

The qualification process may consist of several stages where the initial qualification stage (Stage 1) is common for all subscribing transport and postal utilities, while more qualification stages may be added by the individual utilities if more information is considered necessary to establish relevant bidder lists.

The subscribing transport utilities will use the scheme for requirements subject to EU procurement rules but reserve the right to place individual notices for specific requirements where they deem it necessary. See https://www.achilles.com/community/transq-nordics/ for more information.

Formalities necessary for evaluating if requirements are met:

The qualification system is in principle of unlimited duration, but supplier and contractor information must be updated minimum once per year. For suppliers and contractors already qualified under this scheme a reminder for renewal will be sent directly to such companies well before expiry of the qualification period.

Conditions to be fulfilled by economic operators in view of their qualification:

Suppliers and contractors may apply for qualification at any time. Qualification in TransQ requests the suppliers and contractors to complete an order form including company name, address, legal entity no, contact person and pay an annual qualification fee. The annual fee is ranging from 4 900 SEK to 9 900 SEK. VAT will be added for Swedish suppliers and contractors.

In addition, qualification in TransQ requests the suppliers and contractors as a general rule to complete an electronic questionnaire covering detailed information about: general information, personnel, locations, associated companies, legal and financial information, quality system information, health, safety and environmental system information, products and services offered including references from past supplies.
