CalMac would like to hear from suitable organisations capable of providing a service of this nature.

The Service Provider should:

- provide the ability to flex the service to cover fluctuating demand and to be able to cope with disruptions due to bad weather also needs to be a consideration.

- cater for all ages and abilities and have space for the travelling publics luggage and possessions.

- consider size of buses to ensure they can manoeuvre the roads around the railway station.

- ways of minimising the environmental impact also need to be understood and we would welcome input from organisations who have proven practical solutions they can tell CalMac about.

If you can operate a service of this nature, CalMac would like to hear from you. Following a future public consultation exercise from which the scale and scope of the service will be determined, CalMac will publish a tender exercise for the service required.
