Network of Experts On Intra EU-mobility-free Movement of Workers and Social Security Coordination
The Commission is seeking independent expertise in order to have support in EU social security coordination with solid research and analysis, as well as to widely disseminate this specific expertise to experts, practitioners and general public. The Commission’s needs for strong legal, analytical and organisational support are structured around two axes, and the work of the experts will be very closely linked to its priorities and agenda in the EU areas of free movement of workers, posting and social security coordination:
1) High quality legal expertise and facilitation of access to information;
2) Compiling and analysing statistics.
The contracting authority is planning to sign one direct contract with for each lot.
Estimated publication date: Q2 2021 (15 May 2021). Estimated contract signature: Q4 2021.
Legal Expertise and Dissemination of Knowledge in the Field of Free Movement of Workers and Social Security Coordination
EC and contractors' premises.
Freedom of movement of workers is a fundamental right granted to the citizens of the Union by Article 45 of the Treaty on the functioning of the European Union (TFEU). Also, in the interest of free movement of workers, national social security systems, pursuant to Article 48 TFEU, are coordinated by EU legal instruments. The objective of EU social security coordination is to ensure that persons moving within the European Union do not suffer any loss of social security rights. This objective can only be achieved if the EU coordination provisions are appropriate to and in line with the economic and social developments in the national social security legislations they coordinate.
The Commission is seeking independent expertise in order to have support in these functions with solid research and analysis, as well as to widely disseminate this specific expertise to experts, practitioners and general public.
