Bidders must give a total price per each lot bided for, however the maximum of two Lots only will be awarded to the successful bidder due to nature of the project     8.       The provisions in the instructions to Bidders and General Conditions of Contracts are the provisions of the World Bank procurement regulations July, 2016.     9.     Qualification Requirements   (a)Must have a valid registered member with specialist certificate in drilling of boreholes from National         Construction Industry of Malawi (NCIC) and National Water Resources Board(NWRB)    (b)   Experience under contracts in the role of contractor, subcontractor, or management contractor for at least the last 5 years prior to the applications submission deadline, and with activity in at least nine (9) months in each year. (c)     General Experience, must have Participated as contractor, management contractor, or subcontractor, in at least 3 contracts within the last 5 years, each with a value of at least two Hundred Million Kwacha (MK200,000,000.00), that have been successfully and substantially completed and that are similar to the proposed Works. The similarity shall be based on the physical size, complexity, methods or technology  (d) Minimum average annual turnover of MK200 Million, calculated as total certified payments received for contracts in progress or completed, within the last 5 years (e)     Submission of audited balance sheets and financial   statements acceptable to the Employer, for the last three (3) years to demonstrate the current soundness of the bidder’s financial position and its prospective long term profitability (f)     Specific Experience to have executed during the period stipulated in (b) above, a minimum experience in the following key activities: Drilling of boreholes and water supply (g)    Availability of qualified and experienced key staff consisting of Contracts Manager, Hydrologist, Driller, Foreman-Brick laying and Civil Works (h)    Proof of availability of funds or Credit facilities from a credible financial institution, of not less than one and a half times the Bid amount 09.        Bids shall   be valid for a period of 90 (ninety) days after Bid opening and must each be accompanied by a bid declaration form which is well signed and stamped.   10.    Tenders (one original and three copies) must be delivered in sealed envelopes to the address below (paragraph 12 a) at or before 14:00 hours Malawi time on 26thJanuary,2021. Electronic bidding shall be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Tenders will be opened in the presence of the Bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at the address below (paragraph 12 b) at 14:00 hour’s local time on 26th January, 2021   11.
