ASSIGNMENT OVERVIEW Assignment Title: 1274616- ICT training for public and private actors in the tourism industry in Senegal Assignment Countries:- Senegal ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION The general objective of the training programs to be delivered is to improve the capacities and productivity of the players in the tourism sector by increasing technological adoption and innovation. The assignment requires to organize training courses in a flexible and tailor-made manner, on various subjects such as digital marketing, business intelligence, basics of data processing and analysis, maintenance of a digital platform and the core elements of related technologies such as big data, cloud computing and open data A key element of the courses will be the sharing of relevant international experiences from other developing, middle-income, or advanced economies. This series of courses should train two key groups of stakeholders: (i) decision-makers and technical staff from relevant government agencies; (ii) local entrepreneurs, firms and business organizations working on their digital transformation. The training courses will be both theoretical and practical (study of practical cases and concrete examples, adaptable to the context of the Senegalese tourism sector). FUNDING SOURCE The World Bank Group intends to finance the assignment / services described below under the following:- BANK BUDGET- Senegal Data-Driven Innovation in the Tourism Industry ELIGIBILITY Eligibility restrictions apply: [Please type list of restrictions] INDIVIDUAL / FIRM PROFILE The consultant will be a firm. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS The World Bank Group now invites eligible firms to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc. for firms; CV and cover letter for individuals). Please note that the total size of all attachments should be less than 5MB. Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications. Interested firms are hereby invited to submit expressions of interest. Expressions of Interest should be submitted, in English, electronically through World Bank Group eConsultant2 (https://wbgeconsult2.worldbank.org/wbgec/index.html) NOTES Following this invitation for Expression of Interest, a shortlist of qualified firms will be formally invited to submit proposals. Shortlisting and selection will be subject to the availability of funding. Only those firms which have been shortlisted will receive notification. No debrief will be provided to firms which have not been shortlisted.   Qualification Criteria   1.  The Consultant (firm) will provide at least five (5) references from similar training assignments- covering a minimum of 200 participants and related to Tourism and the digital economy, digital transformation- to show firm qualification.
