ASSIGNMENT OVERVIEW Assignment Title: 1278595- Planning for Future Climate-resilient and Low-Carbon Development in the Urban Context in Aden, Yemen Assignment Countries:- Yemen, Republic of ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION The World Bank will carry out planning for climate-resilient and low-carbon development in Aden City, Yemen. For this, an activity is underway for analyzing the carbon savings and climate co-benefits that can be achieved through prioritization of a climate smart approach for building back better for Aden, as opposed to business as usual. The World Bank team plans to apply Climate Action for Urban Sustainability (CURB) GHG modelling tool to understand current and future emissions based on different pathways for different urban sectors. This consultancy will obtain the sectoral data/inputs in water and sanitation, urban mobility, solid waste management, energy and housing sectors required for the CURB modelling tool. It will also carry out inclusive and gender segregated community consultation process to identify key priorities.
