Objective 9. As part of the implementation of the above-mentioned project, the World Bank is seeking the services of consultants and/or a consulting team for Activity (1) to perform a Sectoral impact assessment of marine litter on ecosystem services and socio-economic activities. The assessment under this TOR should draw on evidence or studies from Egypt to the best extent possible and in its absence draw on similar contexts or shared resources (e.g. similar marine ecosystems in the Red Sea or Mediterranean). C. Scope of Work 10. The main tasks are detailed below: Task 1: Impact identification of plastics, marine ecosystems and socio-economic activities The assessment will cover the following elements: a) Estimate the type and volume of plastics that currently pollute coastal and marine ecosystems (including those from Abandoned, Lost, or Discarded Fishing Gear (ALDFG), ghost nets) i. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS The World Bank Group now invites eligible firms to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc. for firms; CV and cover letter for individuals). No debrief will be provided to firms which have not been shortlisted.   Qualification Criteria   1.  At least 5 years of demonstrated experience in environmental or natural resource analysis and/or environmental economics.
