The MDE Support Services Contract ("Contract") refers to the delivery of medical and dental logistic support services to the Australian Defence Force (ADF). This covers the management of contracts for the provision of Schedule 8 pharmaceuticals, reactive and planned maintenance of medical and dental equipment across Defence, and warehouse services for equipment, consumables and pharmaceuticals. The Commonwealth will manage the Contract at both national and regional level from JLU-E Moorebank (NSW) but will deliver it in all States and Territories.

The Contract is due to conclude in Jun 2022. The extant contract is a legacy contract dating back from 1999. All extension options have been exhausted.

Following a recently conducted Request for Information (RFI 20526I) and the associated Procurement Strategy, it was determined that the preferred option going forward would be an open market RFT in order to select a CPR compliant tenderer that can present a Value for Money (VFM) outcome for the Commonwealth.
