UN WFP Somalia, has its Liaison Offices in Nairobi and is currently operational in Somaliland, Puntland, Central, Benadir and South regions of Somalia with its Country Office in Mogadishu and Area Offices established in Hargeisa, Bossaso, Galkayo, Mogadishu and Dolow.
UNWFP Somalia hereby seeks to pre-qualify Service Providers with reliable experience and capacity to support the establishment of a Medical Emergency Response Team (MERT) which will provide an efficient emergency medical capacity to support WFP Somalia’s Area Offices in Dolow, Bossaso and Galkayo. The MERT should be composed of three paramedics or nurses with provisions for backstopping during Rest & Recuperation(R&R) or leave periods. The MERT will provide specialist pre-hospital emergency care solutions non-transporting and will be expected to manage a stabilization room and have portable stabilization equipment to closely support WFP missions into the field. The MERT Nurse or Paramedic will be expected to establish an efficient medical capacity to support WFP operations in Dolow, Galkayo, and Bossasso, and provide 24/7 standby coverage at WFP Offices at those locations respectively. (Comprehensive details will be provided in the Solicitation document to be shared with prequalified Service Providers)
Reputable Service Providers are encouraged to fill in the attached supplier registration form which can also be requested by e-mail from [email protected] or obtained from WFP Area Office in Mogadishu or at the Liaison Office, on UN Crescent , Off UN Avenue, Gigiri Nairobi.
Eligible Service Providers, who meet all of the pre-qualification criteria in this EOI, may be invited to the Request for Proposal (RFP). The invitation will be open to any contractor who are able to provide the services described above.
