The consultant will work in close collaboration with UNDP Programme and Project team in carrying out the screening and will utilize UNDP Social and Environmental Screening Procedure. As required the consultant will also consult with national partners; mainly the Department of Parks and Wildlife, Department of Forestry, Department of Community Development, Governors Offices of LRR, CRR and NBR, NGO implementing partners such as Tresor Women Warriors and ADWAC, ITC and other stakeholders. The consultant will complete the screening for activities within the 3 components of the project and provide individual recommendations for follow-up action.

The overall goal of the consultancy is to strengthen the environmental and social outcomes of the programmes and project activities.  Specifically; the consultant(s) will

1. undertake the environmental screening of 3 components of the project ; these include
   1. Social protection
   2. Sustainable/Green Livelihoods
   3. Digitization
2. make recommendations on actionable interventions to ensure adequate integration of environmental and social outcomes
3. make specific recommendation on strengthening gender social outcomes where possible
