Om verdere verzakking van het steunpunt Lelystad te voorkomen dienen de stelconplaten opgehoogd te worden. Nu betreft dit een onveilige situatie die kan leiden tot ongevallen. Dit werk is noodzakelijk geworden en stond niet in de oorspronkelijke aanbestedingsstukken. Een verandering van opdrachtnemer is om veiligheidsredenen niet mogelijk. Tot slot bedraagt de wijziging niet meer dan 50% van de oorspronkelijke opdrachtsom.
