II.2.4)Description of the procurement:

This contract includes construction of a complete pump station at the new hospital, laying of three marine pipelines (two waste water pipelines and a water pipeline) and landing of these at Solumstrand treatment plant. The waste water from NSD will be pumped in two marine pipelines from pump station PS3 to Solumstrand treatment plant. The water pipeline will be plugged in both ends, and is for future water supply.

Pump Station PS3 will be established with two isolated pump sumps and a buffer tank. Each sump is equipped with two pumps with inlet-optimised capacity and frequency converter operation. Both sumps have the possibility of pumping to both of the pipelines. The necessary lifting height is approx. 20 m and each sump must be able to pump the entire waste water quantity of 70 l/s. Both pipelines and pumps must be in use alternatively in order to distribute the load. This also ensures that all pumps and both pipelines are operative at all times. The volume of the buffer magazine is given by the necessary detention period during maintenance/cleaning or power outage.

PS3 will be established with an emergency overflow that only takes effect in extreme situations. The emergency overflow will follow the same route as the two marine pipelines, and finished with an end arrangement in order to avoid sludge and the danger of clogging.

Landing at Solumstrand treatment plant occurs by the pump pipelines being fixed in the existing culvert and led under Svelvikveien before discharge upstream of flow meters in the existing sewage tunnel. The waste water runs back with gravity via the overflow station to Solumstrand treatment plant.

Furthermore, the price for laying a water pipeline (355 mm, 20 bar) in the same route as the pump pipelines out to sea, but with a separate landing, must also be included. The water pipelines will be plugged at both ends, and flushing pipes and VL to Svelvik will be included, ending in the sea.

The contract contains environmentally specific requirement and measures that the turnkey contract must safeguard in the contract.

The works will be carried out as a turnkey contract (NS8407), including necessary engineering design.
