The aim of the procurement is to:

- stop as much dirt, dust and moisture as possible at entrances

- contribute to better cleaning quality

- contribute to more effective cleaning

- reduced need for maintenance of floors

- contribute to better interior environment

- safeguard the requirements for universal design, fire and environment

For the purchase and hire of fixed mats with/without the carpet beaters, it will be up to the individual location to decides if they want to purchase or hire. If they want to hire, the individual location must decide how many months/years they will hire the mats as this will depend on the needs of the individual locations (schools, dental clinics, units etc.).

'Mat service’ primarily means the hire of loose mats for indoor use. This service will involve the hire, wash and distribution of mats.
