The Procurement of Smart Waste Containers
Trondheim municipality, Trondheim bydrift (Trondheim Urban Operations) invites tenderers to an open tender contest for the delivery of smart waste containers.
The contract must cover the need for the purchase and delivery of smart waste containers.
Trondheim municipality, c/o Trondheim bydrift (Trondheim Urban Operations) expects to buy smart waste containers for a value of NOK 3-5 million excluding VAT a year.
The value is an estimate for 15-90 smart waste containers per annum.
The value is an estimate and not binding for Trondheim municipality related to the purchase of the number of waste containers.
The economic framework for the project for the entire contract period is estimated to maximum NOK 20 million excluding VAT.
The purpose of the tender contest is to procure waste containers with a connection to a digital online-based monitoring system, so-called smart waste containers. The waste container must run on solar cell power. The waste container must be kept in operation at all times throughout the year by using solar panels. Smart waste containers will be managed, owned and operated by Trondheim Urban Operations.
Trondheim Urban Operations wants the waste container to be used by all user groups, and it is therefore requested that they comply with relevant requirements for universal design.
The project period is 1 year with an option for further extension.
The contracting authority shall, in addition, have an option for extending the contract for a further 1 + 1 + 1 year on verbatim terms. The contracting authority can also extend the contract for a period that is shorter than 1 year.
