The Department has had a prototype application developed which is known as TAP Smartphone Application (TAP App). The application is designed to synthesise evidence-based practices with emerging technologies to reduce offender-users’ risk of re-offending, and support positive behaviour change.

The development of the application is now at a stage where a production version is required. In addition to the work on the application the Department is seeking on-going support for the completed product and a commitment to continue enhancing the application on an ad-hoc basis as existing and new practices are recognised to further its effectiveness. The Department's requirements include mandatory items which, if not substantially complied with, will invalidate responses and a best and fairest offer process is not currently envisaged.

The upcoming tender opportunity can only be accessed and responded via the Department’s end to end procurement system, Procurement Central. Any submission lodged outside of Procurement Central will not be considered by the Department.
