Overview : The Civil Society Democratic Governance Facility (Amkeni Wakenya) is a flagship project of UNDP established in 2008 to provide coordinated technical and financial support to non-state actors working on democratic governance in Kenya. Amkeni Wakenya invites interested and eligible non-state actors including NGOs, FBOs, Academic Institutions, CBOs to submit proposals for the award of grants in a programme entitled “Strengthening Civic Space for Realization of Sustainable Development Goals-SDGs in Kenya”. The project is to be implemented in 6 counties of Kilifi, Kwale, Turkana, Kitui, Wajir & Garissa with a focus on interventions relating to:
For more information on the areas eligible for funding, guidelines on the call and templates, interested and qualified non- state actors should check- Background information and Guidelines for Submission of Concepts - Call 7(attached herewith). ALL Concept Notes and supporting documents must be submitted strictly on or before the deadline via email [email protected] The deadline for the submission of Concept Note Applications is on or before 28th February 2022 1630Hrs Kenyan time. PLEASE NOTE: Amkeni Wakenya will hold interactive physical and/or virtual Public Information Forums on February 11th to February 24th 2022 from 0830Hrs to 1130Hrs Kenyan time to provide more details answer frequently asked questions. Participants are expected to facilitate their travel to and from the venues for the in-person forums. The National forum will be conducted virtually and participants are also expected to facilitate their engagement. The dates for the forums are set out as below.
