UNDP Vietnam is seeking for 01 qualified Vietnamese firm/institute/organization for the technical support for the finalization of application documents of a selected building for Green Building Certificate

The objectives of this assignment:

Ministry of Construction (MOC) (Executing Agency)/Department of Science, Technology and Environment is implementing the Project “Energy Efficiency Improvement in Commercial and High-Rise Residential Buildings in Viet Nam” (EECB) funded by GEF/UNDP and co-financed by Viet Nam’s agencies/institutions and enterprises.

Within the scope of work, Component 3 selected a number of new and retrofit buildings for application of energy reduction technologies in order to achieve energy efficiency and GHG emission reduction as committed to the donor. As for the new buildings, the project management unit (PMU) has selected 09 demonstration buildings and provided support to project owners and design teams to ensure at least QCVN09:2017 compliance or even surpass them. A full technical support package covers the whole support from design to operation phrase. The New admin and educational building (hereinafter called Building) invested by the College of Urban And Construction Works (CUWC) in Gia Lam, Hanoi is among the selected buildings for the demonstration. In the course of the technical assistance, a strong interest has been shown by the building owner regarding EE considerations against an official green building rating tool. A feasibility study of Green Building Certificate was conducted showing that the Building has full potential to achieve the Green Building Certification of LOTUS Gold with some actions to be considered and taken. The EECB PMU and UNDP are therefore seeking a qualified Viet Nam based consulting firm/institution to technically advise the building owner to finalize the application documents for this certificate.

The objective of this assignment is to provide the instructions and support for CUWC in order to complete the application documents for the LOTUS Gold green building certificate.
