This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD AN URGENT & COMPELLING CONTRACT using the simplified acquisition procedures of FAR Part 13 to procure a Temporary Water Heater Installation & Rental Services for the Chemical Biological Incident Response Force (CBIRF) located at Naval Support Facility Indian Head, MD. The Government intends to award an urgent and compelling contract for the above services to the firm of Battle Creek Construction, LLC; 200 Washington Ave. La Plata, MD 20646-9460. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit only one source. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-2, unusual and compelling urgency and no other  services will satisfy the agency requirements. DURATION: The contract is for a period of performance from 27-September-2019 to 26-November-2019 with three (3) 30 day option periods. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
