Title of the assignment:

The study for reviewing existing social protection schemes, services, access and entitlements for tea garden workers and women and children in Sylhet Division.

Purpose

The study is to review and analyze the social protection programmes and any other publicly supported interventions for tea garden workers in Sylhet Division with special focus to women and children and to identify impacts, gaps and policy implications. The study should also formulate high-quality policy recommendations for strengthening their social protection support

Location

Selected 25 tea gardens under UN joint programme in Sylhet division

Estimated Duration

Five Months, including all the necessary processes: July – November 2021

Scope

This study will cover all of Sylhet Division. The deep dive identification of socio-demographic profiles will target 25 specific tea gardens in Sylhet. All programmes and policies currently active and in place in 2021 should be considered, irrespective of the length of programming past this year.
