Description:

Apache Delivery Team (DT) single source contract with Lightfoot Defence Ltd for the annual servicing, calibration and repair of Qty 15 Environmental Control System (ECS) Carts.

Contract value: 166 192,00 GBP (Vat Ex) for the original three (3) year contract. Any Values stated in this notice are provisional and a contract has yet to be awarded.

This requirement is for the annual servicing, calibration and repair of Qty 15 ECS Carts. The Apache DT, part of the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD), proposes to award a contract to Lightfoot Defence Ltd for the duration of three (3) years starting from 31.3.2019 with two (2) one (1) year option periods for the annual servicing, calibration and repair of Qty 15 ECS Carts.

It is considered that these services can only be supplied by this specific economic operator. Lightfoot Defence Ltd are the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for the J9022 ECS Carts and therefore are the only supplier to have the necessary tools and access to the technical information that Lightfoot Defence Ltd have at their disposable to provide the support package. Consequently, on the grounds of technical difficulties (Article 32(2)(b)(ii) of Directive 214/24/EU (PCR Regulation 32(2)(b)(ii)) the annual servicing and maintenance of Qty 15 ECS Carts cannot be carried out or provided by a different supplier to the one from the original supply contract.

This notice advises that the Authority has decided to negotiate a contract with the named supplier on a single source basis, and is published for reasons of transparency.
