Call for Competition with a Pre Qualification Questionnaire for the National Network, Local Connections Programme – Flexibility Services Pilot.
The Contracting Entity wishes to procure flexibility services for the national electricity distribution system in Republic of Ireland pursuant to a framework agreement. Flexibility Services can be provided by suitably qualified distribution connected customers (generation, storage or demand response individually or via aggregation) that can alter their consumption or generation pattern to support ESB Networks in its role as the Distribution System Operator (DSO) in delivering a safe, secure and efficient distribution system.

NOTE 1 - Please note the following information in relation to notice sections above IV.1.3 "...number of

The number of 24 stated in section IV.1.3 is an estimate of a final maximum number of service providers that may be required. However, the number of Service Providers ultimately appointed will be the number determined by the Contracting Entity to be sufficient to provide the services required under the Framework. That number may be greater than or less than 24.
More information will be set out at the Request for Tender stage of the Procurement
process.
NOTE 2 - ESB is conscious that Applicants offices may close for the Christmas/New Year period and may not be able to action this notice and PQQ until 1st week in January 2022. The deadline/closing dates have therefore been set to take account of that.
ESB’s Procurement offices are closed from 23/12/2021 until 3/1/2022. Queries sent during that time will not receive a response. Office will reopen on 4/1/2022.
