II.2.4)Description of the procurement:
BreastCheck, the National Breast Screening Programme is one of four (4) screening programmes managed by the National Screening Service (NSS), which is a directorate of the HSE. The others are: CervicalCheck, the National Cervical Screening Programme; BowelScreen, the National Bowel Screening Programme and Diabetic RetinaScreen,
The current BreastCheck system has 300 users in 4 different static units and 21 mobile units, all of whom require concurrent access. By 2021, BreastCheck will provide services to 544,000 women in Ireland between the ages of 50-69 years.
As well as the analysis, develop, design, build, test, implement and support a full replacement of the NBSP system, the Contractor will be expected to fully migrate all data from NBSP to their solution, preserving data quality and integrity.
The Contractor will provide timely response and repair of the application environment to ensure that it operates and performs substantially in accordance with the defined specification for the system. Activities in this category include bug fixes, error and alert response, system performance and availability incident response. A Service Level Agreement will be in place, and regular meetings with BreastCheck support staff by a designated Account Manager will be expected as part of the service.
The Contractor will provide;
• Software development, analysis and design activities that are required to provide enhancements, functional alterations and upgrades.
• Application Support during server hardware and software upgrades (such upgrades as carried out by NSS or their contractors)
Timeline for delivery of the CRIS will be 18 months from date of commencement of the contract.
