The competition comprises maintenance, salting, gritting and snow ploughing, in accordance with Appendix 1 — Contract Provisions. The contractor shall be responsible for 24 hour a day standby throughout the entire winter season, from the 1st of October to and including the 30th of April, where snow ploughing and salting of stretches of the main road network are included as main assignments.
Other work assignments on the road network shall also be carried out, i.a. Other gritting, snow ploughing, blocking dangerous points and draining of surface water on and in the vicinity of the roads, as well as other incidental woks as determined by the Contracting Authority.
