II.2.4) Description of the procurement
Stonehaven Harbour is a recreational harbour on the North East coast of Scotland approximately 10 miles south of Aberdeen. The harbour has three inner piers, the Net Pier, South Pier and Fish Jetty. The Net Pier and South pier protect the inner harbour basin with a boom gate arrangement. The piers are of concrete construction with sheet pile protection to the ends of the piers. These sheet piles have deteriorated through corrosion and require replacement to maintain the protection to the pier structure.
The repair works to the piers are intended to reinstate the piled protection to the pier ends by the installation of new sheet piles outside the existing piles.
The works will comprise of the following :-
Partial demolition of the existing pier concrete deck and capping beams Installation of new sheet piled facings
with tie rods and ground anchors. Reinstatement of concrete capping beam and decks. Further details and indicative principal quantities are provided in the attached RFI document and drawings
