Please monitor buyandsell.gc.ca closely as changes to bid closing dates may be necessary. ----------------------------------------------------- THIS DOCUMENT CONTAINS AN INDUSTRIAL SECURITY REQUIREMENT For further instructions please consult "Special Instruction to Bidders", SI12, "Industrial Security Related Requirements" and "Supplementary Conditions" SC01 "Industrial Security Requirement for Canadian Supplier". Work of this Contract comprises the replacement of the existing chillers, cooling tower, pumps, and chemical feed system that serve the Morden Research and Development Centre (MRDC), and the replacement of controls in the panels of the mechanical room, as more fully described in the drawings and specifications, located at the AAFC Morden Research and Development Centre, Morden, Manitoba. OPTIONAL SITE VISIT: There will be a site visit at 10:00 am CDT on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at the AAFC Morden Research and Development Centre (MRDC), Morden, Manitoba. Interested firms are requested to contact the Contracting Authority in advance by email (e-mail address is: [email protected]) to book the site visit. Attendees will have to sign the sign-in sheet, a covid checklist, and provide a contact phone number. Contractors will be required to wear a self-supplied mask, follow any posted guidelines, and may also be requested to present photo identification. Attendees are to meet at the west entrance of Building 72 at the AAFC Morden Research and Development Centre (MRDC), Morden, Manitoba. Only two representatives per firm will be permitted to attend the site visit. The deadline for contacting the Contracting Authority is Monday, November 1, 2021, at 16:00 CDT. Firms who contact the Contracting Authority after this date and time may not be able to book a site visit. The maximum number of bidders allowed to attend the visit at one time will be eight (8). If registry exceeds this number, a second site visit may be scheduled for the same day at 11:00 am CDT. All bidders are to follow COVID-19 provincial and federal guidelines. Due to COVID-19, social distancing and wearing a self-supplied mask will be mandatory during the site visit. Bidders who, for any reason, cannot attend at the specified date and time will not be given an alternative appointment to view the site. No exceptions will be made. Work is estimated to be completed within 94 weeks after contract award. To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, the estimated cost for this opportunity is within the following category: $1,000,000. to $1,500,000. Bidders are responsible for obtaining copies of bid forms, special instructions and amendments issued prior to bid closing, and are to ensure they are addressed in the submitted bid. This procurement contains mandatory requirements. Failure to comply may result in rejection of your bid.
