https://devbusiness.un.org/content/detailed-engineering-design-fiu-river-bridge-replacement REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST (CONSULTING SERVICES – FIRMS SELECTION) SOLOMON ISLANDS ROADS AND AVIATION PROJECT (SIRAP) Assignment Title: DETAILED ENGINEERING DESIGN OF FIU RIVER BRIDGE REPLACEMENT, SOLOMON ISLANDS Reference No. MCA-MID/RFP/S-B02.1 The Solomon Islands Government (SIG) intends to use a part of its budget to procure the consulting services (“the Services”) which include DETAILED ENGINEERING DESIGN OF THE FIU RIVER BRIDGE REPLACEMENT, SOLOMON ISLANDS with consultant expected to mobilize in early 2022. The Fiu River Bridge is a part of the World Bank funded Solomon Islands Roads and Aviation Project (SIRAP). The detailed Terms of Reference (TOR) for the assignment is available upon request. The Ministry of Communication and Aviation (MCA) and the Ministry of Infrastructure Development (MID) now invite eligible consulting firms (“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services. The shortlisting criteria are: Core Business and years in business; Relevant experience in similar Design Services which can be demonstrated though provision of two successfully completed contracts: a) Similar span and length; Waterway crossings; Seismic design experience; and Demonstrated experience in the Pacific Region, small island environment or developing country. Key Experts will not be evaluated at the shortlisting stage. The SIG will apply the process under the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” July 2016 (“Procurement Regulations”) for this procurement. The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to Section III, paragraphs, 3.14, 3.16, and 3.17 of the Procurement Regulations, setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest. In addition, please refer to the following specific information on conflict of interest related to this assignment as per paragraph 3.17 of the Procurement Regulations on link www.worldbank.org Consultants may associate with other firms to enhance their qualifications, but should indicate clearly whether the association is in the form of a joint venture and/or a sub-consultancy. In the case of a joint venture, all the partners in the joint venture shall be jointly and severally liable for the entire contract, if selected.
