The Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) has requested the participation of the European Development Partners (EIB, European Union, AFD, and KfW) - hereinafter referred to as EDPs- to finance the GIS S/S Contract for East Qena 500/220/66/22 kV GIS Substation.

The Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC), hereinafter called “Owner” invites sealed Tenders from International Tenderers for the work as specified under this package. The works shall cover on turnkey basis, but not limited to engineering, designing, manufacturing, factory testing, site delivery, civil works, erection, testing at site, setting to work, putting in operation, insurance till provisional acceptance, warranty, training and assistance during warranty period for East Qena 500/220/66/22kV GIS S/S and its Telecommunication systems.

The scope also include the erection, putting in operation of:

• 2x750 MVA, 500/220/22 kV three single phase Autotransformers plus one spare phase (totally seven (7) single phase Autotransformers 500/√3 // 220/√3 // 22 kV, 250 MVA each).

• 2x175 MVA, 220/66 kV three phase Power Transformers.

• 2x40 MVA, 66/22 kV three phase Power Transformers.

with their accessories, control panels, AVRs and the 22 kV air insulated bare conductors of the 22 kV windings of Autotransformer phases delta connection outside transformers' tanks.

The basic completion period for the project is 18 months from the date of Contract signature. However, the Tenderer is also invited to provide optional detailed price schedules for 14 months completion period only. This voluntary action will not be considered as part of the evaluation.

A complete set of Tendering Document may be purchased by interested Tenderers on the submission of a written application in one original and two copies, accompanied by payment receipt of US$ 3,000 (only the amount of three thousands US Dollars) from National Bank of Egypt-Nasr City Branch - Cairo, Egypt. All Tenders must be submitted in one envelope clearly marked “ East Qena 500/220/66/22 kV GIS Substation - Package (A)” and be accompanied by Tender security US$ 500,000 (only five hundred thousand US$) in the form of Tender security, and must be delivered by hand to the above EETC office on or before 4^th of December, 2017 at 12:00 noon Cairo local time.

Tenders will be opened as one envelope Technical / Financial immediately thereafter in the presence of those Tenderers' representatives who choose to attend.

Tenders will be valid for (180) days started from the opening date of the envelope.
